Vintage Fashion Show and Talk
Thank you to all who participated and attended!
Approximately 80 turned out for this remarkable show and talk which showcased fashions from the 1890’s to 1920’s. Megan Pinette’s fascinating talk transported us on a journey back in times where we learned so much about the impact that women had on our town of Belfast. A huge thank you to Megan Pinette, President, Belfast Historical Society and Museum for the tremendous amount of time and work spent on putting this together. Thanks also to Jillian Liversidge, who pulled together all the models and sorted the garments to fit them accordingly; to Betsy Feeley, who presented a super powerpoint slide show that illustrated local women during that time frame, created our poster, and for assisting with all the garments and accessories. Thanks also to Susan Mayer and her helpers for putting on a delicious and attractive refreshments spread; and Linn Johnson and Linda Dunson, who helped button all those tiny buttons and assisted the models. Thanks to Nan Cobbey for the publicity, and to Ron Whittle for conducting a tour and brief history of St. Margaret’s. And the models …. thank you, thank you … they were all fabulous.
$785 was raised and will be shared with the Belfast Historical Society and Museum.
