Italian potluck a feast
What a menu last Saturday night. Twenty-two parishioners and friends dined on chicken cacciatore, roasted vegetable lasagna, bread salad, Tuscan chicken, asparagus risotto, spaghetti and meat sauce, stuffed shells, panna cotta flavored with orange, two versions of tiramisu, one with chocolate, one with strawberries, and half a dozen other dishes including two antipasto platters. (See picture of Steve Malmberg’s strawberry confection.)
The next Global Cuisine Potluck, on Saturday, July 14th, will focus on favorite American foods. Faye Ward is in charge. Think apple pie, fried chicken, barbecued meats, corn on the cob, potato salad, watermelon, s’mores. If weather’s good, we may set up grills outside. Bring your family’s favorite. If you have a great summertime recipe, please share it. Slide a copy or two into the folder on the Time and Talent Table in the parish hall. Tell us what you’re bringing on the sign-up sheet.
Dinner will be at 6. Come with a few friends. These friendly meals are a great way to introduce newcomers to St. Margaret’s.
