Deacon’s Corner (12/13/12)
Just a reminder that we are having our Giving Tree Project again this year. This year, your donations will go to the GBAM Food Cupboard, or the Restorative Justice Project, or both community services projects, if you choose.
Since we’re beginning this project later in the Advent season than originally planned, we’ll extend the Giving Tree Project through the 12 Twelve Days of Christmas, and end the project on January 6th, Epiphany Sunday.
Donating to this project may be the answer to your Christmas gift quandary; what to give to someone on your Christmas gift list,” who has everything that they need or want”. Give a donation in their name, to either worthy cause, in lieu of a present.
The Restorative Justice Project is looking for some used, but still working computer monitors, if you have a spare one that you are not using just let me know, and I’ll pick it up and deliver to RJP. Thanks.
Finally, just a thought for the day: “You may be the only gospel your neighbor will ever read“—St. Francis of Assisi
Peace and blessings to all. Tom
