English Tea at St. Margaret’s
The annual Victorian style “English tea’ offered by the women of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church every fall will be Saturday, Nov. 2, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parish house at 95 Court St. in Belfast.
The scones and cucumber sandwiches, ginger cookies and pastries served on the members’ best china and served with freshly steeped tea in china pots has become a favorite fall event. Home- baked pastries and specialty foods — salsas, preserves, breads, and chutneys — will be on sale throughout the day. There will also be a jewelry boutique and a table full of much-loved cookbooks.
