NEWS FROM MISSION OUTREACH
The auction to support Waldo CAP’s “Ride with Pride” is coming up right after Easter-May 3rd at the Blue Goose in Northport. Can you help by donating a “treasure” or a service, a weekend at your camp, a ride on your boat? Or perhaps you could help with the auction itself-organizing in advance, setting up, baking for a bake sale. A sign-up sheet will soon be on the Time and Talent table; meanwhile, give Juliet Baker, 338-4228, a call if you have something to donate or are willing to help.
We’re still looking for a few people to help with planning this year’s Window Dressers to build energy-efficient indoor storm windows. Sharron Walsh, the St. Margaret’s representative, reports that she already has one person willing to assist her (Thanks, Meg!), but a few more will significantly reduce the burden on everyone. This is a great opportunity to participate in an inter-faith program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help our neighbors (and ourselves) to have warmer homes. Please give Sharron a call if you can help, 218-4113.
Don’t forget-St. Margaret’s turn as Celebrity Chef at the Game Loft is next Friday, April 4th. Can you help by making shepherd’s pie or cookies for hungry teenagers? Call Cipperly Good, 322-0870, for details.
The next meeting of the committee is Monday, April 14, at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. All are welcome.
