What grows in your garden?
St. Margaret’s next Global Cuisine Potluck is coming home… right to your house. The potluck committee decided to make the October theme “Harvest Festival of Our Garden Favorites” in hopes that we could attract every member of the parish, especially the gardeners among us. The date is Saturday, Oct. 12, and the recipes this time will come from you.
We hope you will email one or more of your favorite harvest recipes to us. All those we get before Tuesday we will print out and put in the folder on the time and talent table for others to try as well. Here are some of the recipes the committee will share with you:
Nan: Buttery Scalloped Potatoes and Rutabaga, Best Tomato Salsa, Ohio Amish Pickled Beets and Eggs, Italian Ribollita.
Chris: Roasted root vegetables with rosemary
Sandy: Layered vegetables
Cindy: Apple Oatmeal Crisp
Cipperly: Baked Rutabaga and Apple, Zucchini Moussaka, Honey Roasted Carrots
Pick up these recipes from the Time and Talent Table and leave a copy of your favorite recipe. Or email your favorite recipes to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Along with this theme – look for info about a harvest festival focused eucharist for October 13.
