With the arrival of 2015, St. Margaret’s will begin marking its 100th anniversary with celebrations and community projects. Everyone is invited to participate, and to start the year off we will have another Centennial planning meeting on Sunday, Jan. 4, at 9 a.m., between the morning services. This will be your chance to learn more about the Centennial book project to benefit elementary schools in the Belfast area and to discuss several other ideas for celebrating this special year. In the meantime, be sure to circle Jan. 18 on your new calendar, when we’ll mark the laying of St. Margaret’s cornerstone in January 1915 and also celebrate Maud Gammans’ birthday with a special program that will follow the single 9 a.m. service that day. So who’s Maud Gammans? You’d better come on Jan. 4 and the 18th to find out! Other questions? Check with Pat Griffith, Centennial chair. Happy Centennial New Year!
