WORSHIP AND LITURGY
WORSHIP AND LITURGY: The word “liturgy” refers to the worship “work of the people.” All of us come together to “do the liturgy”, to give praise and thanksgiving to God. From January 11 until Easter, April 5, we will celebrate the Holy Eucharist with one service at 9:00 AM. During this time we will use liturgies which have been developed under auspices of the Episcopal Church’s Standing Liturgical Commission. Included in liturgical sources known as “Enriching our Worship,” these liturgies may be described as expansive, inclusive, and contemporary, yet faithful to the essential salvation history at the heart of all approved Eucharistic prayers.
