Celebrate and Radiate! Our Centennial Celebrations start on January 18.
So you think it’s cold? The weather was probably about like this 100 years ago when Maine’s Episcopal Bishop Codman tramped through the snow to lay the cornerstone for St. Margaret’s. The date was January 15, and we’re marking the anniversary with a festive program immediately after the 9 a.m. service a week from Sunday, January 18. Megan Pinette, director of the Belfast Historical Society & Museum, and Betsy Paradis, reference librarian who knows all about Maud Gammans, will help launch our Centennial year with accounts of Belfast vintage 1915. We’ll also begin our project to provide 100 new books to local elementary school libraries. We’ll have birthday cake and bubbly punch and plenty of hot coffee and other nibbles. Come and celebrate!
