Peter’s News from South of the Border
Richard & I are really enjoying our stay in Mérida this year, especially when we check out the weather reports for the northeast. Our neighbor sent us pictures of our house there…unbelievable snow! I am still singing in the choir at the cathedral English Mass. And we both attend another Mass for gringos at another church. I work at the English library, checking books in & out & giving information to tourists. In addition, twice a week I am teaching a Spanish class for gringos that has been very successful. I went on a tour of some great Mayan ruins in Campeche for four days & got to know a lot more about the Mayans & their architecture. So many places to see & visit here! We love our house here & enjoy going in the pool every day to cool off. Temps get up into the 90s F almost every day with lots of sun but also nice breezes. However, I do miss my St. Margaret’s family, serving on the altar & singing in the choir. We really like to have company & have a cute guest house with a private bath at the back of our garden. I’m attaching some pictures of the house & gardens.
Love to you all at St. Margaret’s.
Besos y abrazos,
