A Saturday celebration of food, France and friends
St. Margaret’s Saturday supper of favorite French dishes starts tomorrow evening at 6. The bishop and his wife, Steven and Gretchen Lane, will be joining us and the Lavenders, Michael and Leslie, will be showing slides and telling tales about their visit to Provence. Don’t miss it.
Recipes for country pâté, French onion soup and a quick version of steak frites still remain in the folder on the Time and Talent Table. Help yourselves. You might try Julia Child’s famous recipe for Coq au Vin, which you can find on the website of WGBH TV in Boston where her French Chef show was taped for years. Or you might like to stop at a local cheese shop and select a few French cheeses. Of course, you might just choose to bring your favorite comfort food. That would be great. All dishes are welcome!
Remember to bring your own beverages. If your dish needs to be reheated or assembled, come a bit earlier than 6.
