From the Caribbean to Mexico
St. Margaret’s Caribbean Potluck last weekend drew 24 diners and a smorgasbord of dishes. We had an amazing variety of fruity salsas, spicy dishes, shrimp, rice and beans, meaty stews with olives or fruits, key lime pie. My… what a tasty array. This next month we will NOT be looking for variety. Our potluck will be a Chili Cook-Off.
Make your family’s time-honored favorite version… or research something unusual. All versions of chili will be welcomed: with and without beans, with and without tomatoes, spicy or mild, made with beef, pork or chicken, even laced with red wine.
Put it on the calendar now — Saturday, Oct. 10 . We are sure to have a number of guests from the Re-entry Center, chili is such a universal favorite.
