God Loves a Cheerful Giver
What a vibrant parish! I am grateful to everyone who participated in the Celebration of New Ministry, which lifted up our shared faith journey together. You contributed in many ways: choir and music, reception, altar guild, translation and reading, serving at the altar, ushering, office and computer support, hospitality to our guests, being presenters, setting up and organizing the audio and visual systems, creating news releases, and much, much more. Thank you for all you shared, which was a great witness to our larger community. Thank you, also, for calling me to share in our life together and your generosity, including the beautiful stole and the gifts for our parish kitten, Pippin.
Thank you to the people who have come forward with office support during our unexpected staffing transition. Please let me know if you have time to help out, especially Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
We have some additional needs. Please contact the office if you have the following skills, education, or desire to serve:
- Building repair and stewardship – speak with Don Cox
- Grounds – speak with Margie Spencer-Smith
- Pastoral Care (both the committee to expand what we offer and direct care)
- Eucharistic Visitation (requires Safe Church training on the diocesan website; speak to Tom or Christopher for details)
- Proofreading the bulletin on Thursday
The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. ~ 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
