God Loves a Cheerful Giver
Another busy week and I am grateful for everyone who is contributing in many ways, including office coverage during an unexpected transition period.
The rector’s office is looking very good thanks to Elaine Bielenberg, who made bright curtains, and Dennis Urick and Don Cox, who installed the new bookshelves. This space gets used for the day-to-day work of the parish, pastoral care conversations, and wedding and funeral planning. Thank you for contributing to making this a space that welcomes people.
Thank you to our lay delegates – Judith Cox, Linda Dunson, Mary Provo, and Faye Ward – and Deacon Tom Duplessie for taking time out of busy lives to participate in the Diocesan Convention.
We have some additional needs. Please contact the office if you have the following skills, education, or desire to serve:
- Building repair and stewardship – speak with Don Cox
- Grounds – speak with Margie Spencer-Smith
- Pastoral Care (both the committee to expand what we offer and direct care)
- Eucharistic Visitation (requires Safe Church training on the diocesan website; speak to Tom or Christopher for details)
The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. ~ 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
