The Vestry met on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, in the parish house. In Christopher’s+ absence due to illness, Senior Warden Ellen Kenney presided over an abbreviated agenda.
Among other items, the Vestry took the following actions:
Received from Treasurer Georgie Thomas the Profit and Loss Budget Performance for the month of January. Georgie also gave an update on the successful roll-out of the Hannaford Gift Card program.
Heard a report from Susan Mayer about a planned talk by Heidi Schott, Diocesan Canon Missioner for Communication and Advocacy, to be held at St. Margaret’s on Saturday morning, April 1. At the invitation of the Women of St. Margaret’s, Heidi will speak about her multi-faceted career and life experiences. It is planned to begin about 9:30 with a coffee hour, followed by Heidi’s talk and Q & A. It will finish by noon. We will invite women from around the diocese, as well as publicizing it in local papers.
Approved extending an invitation to John Hennessy, Director of the Maine Episcopal Network for Justice, to conduct an advocacy training workshop for parishioners and other interested faith community members on a Saturday in March. More details will follow.
Approved replacement of the kneelers by Randy Tangaro, a parishioner and upholsterer who is donating his labor for this project.
